Hello & Welcome!

Thanks for clicking on this section of the blog. I guess that means you want to know a bit more about the quirky human behind the words and pictures? I’m Victoria. I started this blog back in 2012 after being introduced to blogs in 2010 when all the hip European girls made blogging about their OOTDs (Outfit of the day) seem like the coolest thing in the world (those were the good old days). As an introvert, blogging felt like the perfect fit, especially after I got my first DSLR camera and was determined to figure out all the bells and whistles (FYI, still figuring it out but have come a long way).

I started out trying to be a "fashion blogger” but quickly realized that having a new outfit for every post was not going to be easy, not to mention, somewhere along the way, I picked up the knowledge of what fast fashion (and fashion, in general) is doing to our planet and the human race. Then, I attempted to write a travel blog but as it turns out, I don't travel as much as I had hoped, and I'm really quite the homebody. So long story short, this blog is now focused on a slow living and conscious lifestyle where I embrace my need to live a vintage-inspired, creative and intentional life. I write and share about things I genuinely like (which might be one too many Classic films as well as (thrifted and vintage) clothes, books and charming towns) and hope that somewhere along the way, it inspires others to do the same and to ultimately live the life which feels true to them. Turns out I’ve been on the “romanticze your life” bandwagon all along!

I just recently moved from beautiful Cambria, California to a new life in rural Midcoast (ish) Maine. Although many would wonder how I could even think about leaving California, I’m a firm believer that change is (usually) good and there’s just so much to explore so why stay in one spot forever? So when the opportunity to move to a whole new world (Maine) presented itself, well, how could I not? I’ll be sharing the journey here, of course as well as all my other interests! Thanks for following along!
