The hardest part of graduating college (and other miscellaneous thoughts)

green raincoat This is the year I will finally be able to call myself a college graduate (well, for the second time, if community college counts for anything) and I'm not feeling at all like I imagined I would. It's been such a long, long time since I started this journey that now, I just feel numb. Numb. Until I get the diploma in my hands, it will not have sunk in that I never have to open another textbook again.

National Pet Day: What I wish my dogs could understand

IMG_3594 In honor of National Pet day (April 11), I wanted to share some of the things I wish I could make my dogs understand. Sometimes I feel super mean for not giving them that extra treat or I feel guilty for not having time to walk them every single day. But when all is said and done, I just want to be the best pet owner I can be because they deserve that and much more.

I originally come from the Northern California valley so my experience with coastal living is probably a bit different than people who grew up on the coast.
