Strawberry Canyon

So it's July...and I have to admit, I'm not too surprised. The year feels like it's going by at a steady pace. I'm trying not to measure life by the years and months, but rather the hours and days and of course, the moments. Admittedly, most days I have to stop and think "What month are we in again?" although that's probably because the seasons have literally not changed in over a year so as far as I know, everyday feels like a typical Spring day (not gonna lie, I get a bit envious of those who have snow and rain in their environments-I own a fabulous umbrella but never get to use it).

On a side-note, I have to apologize for not being a "Monthly favorites" type of blogger. I almost never use/discover/love enough products, places or things to write a post like that. I hope we can still be friends...

Despite having obtained my passport recently (more on that later) for an upcoming (and unbelievable) trip that hasn't sunken in yet, I refuse to count down the days. Right now I'm just enjoying everyday too much to even think about wanting to pass the time away. I think that's a good thing, right?

Anyway, on a different subject, hopefully you're not tired of this orange top yet because I have a feeling it's gonna be making appearances on here quite often...

Oh! And I want to wish every one of my fellow Americans a pleasant and safe holiday. Eat lots of hot dogs, watermelon and all the other typical American things.

P.S. How great is the name Strawberry canyon? It's the location where these pictures were taken and I have to say, I did not dare enter very far into the forest- mountain lions have been known to be in the area and while I know they try to stay away from humans, I'm too afraid to find that out for myself!

  1. Very good post, dear.Your blog is so nice :)
Would you mind checking out mine and following if you like it?
    Keep in touch love!

  2. You seem to have the best weather there! I noticed most of your pictures were taken on a sunny day. And the view is always great. I think that's part of why I'm always coming back to your blog. I've always envied your forests and woods. We don't have forests where one can just take an easy stroll. I think it's because of the diversity. There's always going to be an itchy plant or insects and the grass is always too thick, or its always too hot or humid to take a walk outside.
    A Hint of Sunlight

  3. What a beautiful looking place! I am always so jealous of all the love outdoor places you have to explore. That last photo of you is such a great candid shot! :)

  4. I adore this blog post and the format of it Victoria! I love the big photos, the amount of photos and the text spread between them. I love the way you've written this post, you seem so carefree and happy and it's lovely to read. I can't wait to hear more about your trip, it all sounds very exciting! Your outfit is lovely, and I'm pretty sure if I owned a top like your orange one it would become a daily staple! I hope you enjoyed the holiday :) you don't need to apologise for anything either!! I'm a terribly inconsistent blogger, but I like to think/hope that people realise that sometimes life just gets in the way. I sometimes consider whether or not I should keep my blog anymore, just because I'm so inconsistent, but it's important to remember that blogging is first and foremost a personal thing, and only you can decide what to blog and when to blog :) xxx

  5. Everyday feeling like a spring day sounds amazing! Love your outfit, the color combo and the sweater is so pretty! Strawberry Canyon looks so lovely, your photos are great!

  6. Hello from Spain: I like to enjoy every day. I hate being overwhelmed by the passage of time. We need to live each moment. Nice pictures. I like your outfit so colorful. Keep in touch
