Dear Blogosphere...

"The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely, or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature, and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be." - Anne Frank

Around November, this time last year, it seemed as if the Blogosphere was quieting down so I also stood back and refrained from posting as much. When it gets colder, I get lazier to do regular outfit posts (for this reason out of many, I don't consider myself a fashion blogger) but also, I have felt so out of place with everything in life at the moment. I don't seem to fit in with people my age or younger, I don't fit in with today's world and "trends" (apart from social media and technology) and for the first time ever, I almost feel as if I don't fit in with blogging. Of course I know that I will always want to blog but I mostly just haven't had time or motivation to enjoy it as much as I want. I'm hoping the Thanksgiving holiday will renew my outlook and that I will have plenty of interesting things to say come December. Sometimes we all just need to take a deep, deep breath because seriously, everything is really going to be okay. Oh, and the quote above by Anne Frank? Yeah, she pretty much took the words right out of my mouth... :)

  1. I guess no one can ever be unfit for blogging because blogging is a free thing so please don't feel like you don't fit at all. You have such great stories to tell and your photos are amazing! Cheer up! :)

  2. There are so many times when I feel like my life isn't important or interesting enough to write about. Keeping a little list of potential blog topics helps, so even if I sat at home all day (most days), I still have something to fall back on. It also makes me feel better to comb through archives of bloggers I really like, especially big ones, because you can see that they, too, once blogged for weeks about "nothing." And maybe not fitting in is good - you can make your own writing niche!

  3. I hope you're okay Victoria, I know it must be hard for you with uni and not having found your place yet. I hope that things aren't getting you down (sending virtual hugs). I think every blogger must have this feeling at some point, it's a feeling I've experienced myself and at times I've even thought perhaps I just shouldn't write my blog anymore. I take a little break, and I always come back to it. If it starts to feel like a chore, or you feel like you don't know what to say, a little break can help you to decide if you miss it or if you need more time away. I enjoy reading your blog and I hope that soon you'll feel re-inspired and motivated to write, but we all need little breaks now and then. Your photos are so beautiful, perhaps if you still feel motivated to take photographs you could just do photo posts, no words, just beautiful photos? Whatever you decide, we'll be here when you want us :) xxx

  4. I agree with everything Hannah said. Just take a break from everything! I think we all have them moments and in a few weeks time you'll snap out of it then look back and wonder what the hell you was worrying about. :) unfortunately life doesn't stop so you're just going to have to stay positive even if that means not blogging for a while. I love reading your blog because you're so down to earth and real! xxx

  5. Take a break before coming back to blog again! You will feel more inspired and motivated after a short break to organize your own thoughts!

You are an amazing blogger! :D
